Andrew Novosad, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)
Hello, my name is Andrew Novosad and I am one of the oncology consultants for Fidu. I attended Louisiana State University for undergraduate studies and earned my doctorate of veterinary medicine from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation from veterinary school, I completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, and residency in Medical Oncology, at the Animal Medical Center in New York City.
I am a board certified medical oncologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. My clinical interests include lymphoproliferative disorders, melanoma, and novel anti-cancer agents. I enjoy all aspects of clinical practice, but especially the opportunity to serve as a resource for veterinarians when faced with managing a cancer patient, whether with a difficult diagnosis or providing treatment options for owners. In 2017, I became the first veterinary oncologist to receive the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice Clinical Referral and Consultation Award.
I live in Sugar Land, Texas which is a suburb of Houston with my lovely wife (also a veterinarian), daughter, son, and two rescue dogs Phoebe and Rhodey. Outside of work, I am an avid runner and enjoy college football (GEAUX TIGERS!!!)
